Colorful Religious Events make India majestic
Events are of many kinds and they do range from the political to social ones in many countries. But in a country like India, where religion rules the show from the beginning of the day to the end, most of the important events happen to be religious festivals. Truly speaking, the festivals of India or merely events do speak eloquently of India's rich cultural and traditional background. Throughout the year lots of events do take place in different constituent states adhering to the local traditions and as a result promote the conventional handicraft and tourism. If you are hailing from the western world you will just be amazed to perceive the celebration of important events. But there is a commonness in these events. It is nothing but the celebration of humanity above all. For instance, in each religious event you can come across processions in the streets, dance performance along with traditional folk song decoration of residences and temples. Even in many religious rituals there is the presence of prayers, rituals and customs that are performed by assemblies of people. This increases emotional bond between human beings that develops humanity above all.
Well, this is not a new phenomenon in India. This has been largely evident through centuries and has continued relentlessly in spite of religious, ethnic strife and ravages of history. Furthermore the presence of different religions and their respective events has made India glorious. Being the ideal specimen of a multicultural and multireligious society there is an eminent presence of various faiths and special interest groups. There are the Hindu events like Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Holi and several others. Apart from this the Islamic events like Muharram, Eid-ul-Fitr and Christian religious events like Christmas, Easter are observed with pomp and splendor. However, nowadays events like the celebration of national leaders are coming to the fore. These are mainly patronized by the concerned interest groups but in general are stray incidents.
